My Question or Issue

So I’ve made a massive long queue, and then I accidentally tap on a song title and it plays, (very easy to do on an iPhone) interrupting the queue. Then my whole queue that I’ve spent all night adding to disappears! Wiped! Am I missing something?
Can’t I interrupt the queue by playing a song instantly, then automatically revert back to the queue I’ve spent all night building, rather than losing that queue all together?
please enlighten me!

Hi,

For me the songs I've manually added to the queue are still present even when I start another song. Have you checked so you have the latest update of the Spotify app installed?

If you try to do it again, does the queue disappear for you again? Just try to add some songs, and then play another song. 🙂

Hi there folks,

Thanks for sharing your opinions on this matter.

Anybody, who feels like there should be a change in the user interface design of the app can go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.

We also suggest checking this help article for useful tips on how to submit an idea. As a heads-up, it's good to know that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented :slightly_smiling_face:

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.

I have spent several days curating a queue only for it to be completed deleted in a matter of seconds. Incredibly frustrating. What happened was I clicked the previous song button, but it didn’t go to the previous song, it went to the songs at the end of the queue and then considered them “listened to” and deleted them from the queue. Then when I went to see my queue, I don’t know what happened, but I accidentally clicked a song and it deleted the entire queue and replaced it with songs similar to the one I clicked on. This has evidently been a problem people have complained about for at least 4 years now - why has there been no improvement? Don’t delete queues without a confirmation first!

4 years later, still and issue

ANOTHER QUEUE LOST !!!!

NO WORDS!!!

Idk why yall lying, because you actually don’t. Idk why you guys even bother to include that tab when everyone knows yall don’t bother to read or even acknowledge users feedback. Y’all are literally the Microsoft version of music, just with less rehearsed scripts that are overly regurgitated that don’t actually resolve frequent most common issues that users have that have been present for years. Do yall get paid more to bs us or just blatantly lie?

This is the sole reason why I can never cancel my Apple Music subscription, because the way Spotify refuses to add basic music player features that even SoundCloud would probably have. Though I love Spotify a lot I’m frequently cancelling my subscription due to the lack of basic functionality. But rest assured they will make frequent updates to fix issues users were not aware about for their ai algorithmic made for you playlists that will include words like “gaslight” or “yassification” because of course they’ve learned priorities have always made sense to everyone who isn’t on the decision making team !

That’s their entire brand ignore or distract

Is it possible that after 5 years there is no solution to this problem? Why does the brand refuse to have a button to recover the queue? Just one wrong click to delete an entire queue built with "effort" I'm frustrated by how many times it happens.

Unfortunately it’s because they don’t actually care about their consumers and providing functionality, they care about profiting they are money hungry like instagram, that they don’t care how horrible their features are and over saturated the app is, as long as they get paid they don’t care who gets **bleep**.
i will say it’s obvious when a company cares about their consumers, or at least pretends to. Spotify isn’t that.
Apple Music doesn’t have a lot of the cool playlists Spotify has, but if you want basic user functionality and a less frustrating listing experience I’d suggest them.

Yes, why fix this half-a-decade-old, lingering, persistent, and deeply frustrating issue when we can add more podcasts, videos, and audiobooks? Program managers earn mid-six figures, and they work 8 hours a day; yet, this frustrating issue that has lingered for nearly five years continues to be ignored while podcasts, videos, and audiobooks have were added in its stead.

The main issue is that queues aren’t synced correctly between devices. If you receive a link to a song from a friend or see a link on social media and click on it, your queue on the mobile app is erased. When you return to the desktop, your previous queue may or may not be intact, and it often gets replaced by the mobile app’s queue because, for some reason, the syncing happened to work that day while on others, it does not.

"Oh Ill look to see if this song is already in my queue"

slight finger slip midway down the list

"well. no queue for me". when will i learn tbh, i should know better than to trust it. pretty bad that this is marked as solved
