2014.11.07 Applications for the Spotify for iOS beta are now open

For more info and to apply look to your right and find the header called "Beta test Spotify for iOS".

I received the beta invite but the app does not show in TestFlight. Any ideas?

As it is now, no. It seems the current beta is just v1.9 repackaged as v2.0. (unless there are underlying code changes)

From my knowledge, they might be replacing API's as they are doing this in the desktop application.

Hi everyone! New to this forum and an iOS enthusiast, just signed up for the beta (and this forum). I am a student and use Spotify every day in my commute for two hours on average. Hope to be a part of the program so I can try out and test the new features.

I applied to be in the IOS beta about a week ago, never received an email. Although today, I'm seeing a couple of new features that werent included with my install as of last night. The version I'm seeing installed is 2.0.0.1643. So.....I guess I got in?

I don't know what happened to your application but I doubt you got in. Because if so, you would need to download a special version of the app + "testflight"

Umm I'm not sure, we have to wait for a moderator (official Spotify service member) to answer that question for us.

Yes, new features have been pushed out as part of the beta.

This is not to be talked about here.

If you are part of the beta, please use the iOS BETA BOARD to discuss.

Rule #1 of the beta is "DO NOT talk about the beta"

Comments made here about beta features will be edited and censored.

I never received my invitation email, nor did I ever download a beta version, so these features must be official?

Hmmm... maybe everyone who submitted an application was given the new features.

These features are pushed from the server side, so no update is needed to have them.
