why can you guys not add Sorting by artist/title/album/added etc. ffs how hard can it be

 

also the lock screen is still broken, has no idea what song im playing, and stays stuck on a single track.

I'm using spotify on my iphone 4 and just updated to version 1.1.0 and now spotify won't launch at all.

The ipad release notes say that "My Music" is now on ipad but it isn't. Why hasn't the ipad app been updated to the new UI and my music. Very annoying that on my phone, everything works great but the ipad is still using the "starred" songsand old UI. The service doesn't really work for me like this.

I think it's down to Spotify actually being one app on iOS, which includes both the iPhone and iPad parts - so the release notes are always the same for both.

I guess but why fix only part of the app then? They are making it work two different ways instead of being consistent. We've been waiting for an updated ipad app for a while now. I know of a few people who mainly use the ipad app and just use their phone to add songs to "my music" but since the ipad doesn't recognize " my music", it's useless and they are considering canceling until it's fixed. I have to say that I'm not comfortable paying for premium when I can't use it across platforms the way it is advertised. If it wasn't going to the same on ipad and iPhone, then don't release it at all.

Agree totally. Sick of waiting for ipad update. This latest update made no mention of iPad missing out whereas last update at least stated that ipad missed out.

For me it works now quite good.

The hickups are nearly gone, synced stuff works well, on lockscreen it performs well.

I was updating from 0.9.3 with synced songs to 1.1

 

am on iPhone 4S with newest iOS

 

maybe the datafiles were corrupted in 1.0, which makes a delete/reinstall/resync needed

Also I have only "high" quality sync enabled

just because someone is unique, it doesn't mean he's useful...

My issue isn't with the iphone version it's the ipad app and lack of update. It says on the App Store that features were added but they weren't. It shouldn't be in the description if it wasn't updated.

Yes, please fix the iPad app. It doesn't make sense to have different versions on iOS and OSX and seriously impairs the appeal of this service, especially at Premium price.

I think what I find really annoying is the lack of information. If we were told 'expect the iPad update next week' or 'we are having problems and can't tell you when you'll get it ' I'd be satisfied. A 'gradual rollout' statement tells nothing. The silence at the moment is deafening.....

It's not possible to search/filter Your Music (songs) which makes it useless when having many songs in there... if you then were able to add and have a major number of songs added to it and synced to mobile (not working, whenever rebooting clients the songs are not the same as what you added - even if adding less than 500 at a time and less than 10 000).

Spotify is coming with new features for paid users.

However, my feelings are mixed, this is good, but shouldnt they update the ipad version of spotify first.

 

All my devices (desktop, android phone, iphone) have the new look and "your music" section, but my ipad hasnt !!!!!!!!!

 

Fix that first before introducing new stuff !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just trying the new features.... Have to say im dissapointed!

 

Am i missing something but one of the best features "Star Track" seems to have been replaced with "My Music" 

 

I cant seem to sync or filter the my music section.

 

Fix the low resolution album covers, the album covers used to be really big and clear, now they're small and muddy. I'm really disappointed with this. The album art used to be 30% of the experience. Please fix this ASAP

Low resolution album art is also a bug.

 

The developers are already aware of it. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next update.

I just got the 1.1.0 update for my iPhone and my iPad. Everything seems to be working fine on my iPhone, but I have a few issues with the iPad version. First of all, the orientation that the app launches in got messed up in this new update. Before the update, it would always launch in the orientation I had my iPad in, which usually landscape. Now, whenever I launch the app, it defaults to portrait. The only way around it is to have my orientation lock, but it will still show the launch image in portrait, then switch to landscape mid-launch. It doesn't look very clean. It will also switch back to portrait if I leave the app and come back to it without orientation lock on. 

 

There are also a few bugs with the queue on the iPad. When I tap and hold to bring up the popup, it will only work about 2 out 5 times. I have to navigate other playlists, then go back to the one I was in to try again. Also, once I have the queue going and it reaches the end of my queue, the last song I had queued will repeat.

 

Last thing, where is the black layout from the iPhone and the desktop version? I don't see why it is so difficult to roll out new features and changes simultaneously across the platforms. It would be awesome to have the same all black look on the iPad. Also, Connect for the desktop can't come out any sooner. It doesn't seem like a very good business practice to give your customers a taste of a feature on one device, only to have them wait indefinitely for the change or feature to come out everywhere else.

Hopefully, the iPad application will get some update love in the near future, it doesn't have discover yet either!
