Remove “Queue and Jam” from CarPlay

Hello

For some reason the legend “Queue and Jam” has now started to appear in large writing on the top of the screen in CarPlay.
I neither have the slightest clue what this means nor do I want it.

This morning I pressed play on a track and the entire screen filled with “Start a jam” What?

i tried to go backwards, very dangerous while driving and whatever I did the track wouldn’t play. In the end I had to pull over and start the track manually using my phone. Really annoying.

Seems to be working again now but I still have this ridiculous “queue and jam” taking up a large part of the screen.

please can someone tell me how to get rid of this annoying logo. Please also tell me that if one of your “developers” thought this was a great idea then they are now seeking new employment.

Thank you

Hey there @nickt253,

Thanks for reaching out.

Would you mind sending over some pictures where we can see what's going on? Make sure to exclude any personal info from them.

It'd also be helpful to have the device's model and the exact Spotify version.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hey @WVV69,

Thank you for joining the thread and for the info shared.

Unfortunately, the "Queue and Jam" button that can be seen on top of the album art is part of the CarPlay UI and cannot be removed at the moment. If you think other users would like the option to remove this button as well, we'd recommend posting an idea in our Ideas Exchange board so it can be voted on and eventually reach the relevant departments to be taken into account.

We'd also recommend checking our guidelines before posting it to avoid any early rejection. More info on how your feedback reaches Spotify via the Idea Exchange can be found here.

Cheers!
