Spotify Stops and Jump While Moving IOS

Solved!

Spotify Stops and Jump While Moving IOS

Need help on how to stop Spotify from stopping and skipping to next song while moving e.g. walking, running, or even moving phone. I can't use it to the gym anymore. My account is premium and it's really annoying to have this issue. It's the same for offline playlists. I'm on iPhone 6 and recently updated to latest version as of writing as well as for Spotify.

Hi All, thanks for the response! I lessened my no. of playlists and reinstalled the app and it worked. So far, no more jumping or skipping through songs and can be used in the gym Thanks a lot for your help, guys!

Hi there! Sorry to hear about that. Let's try to troubleshoot this issue. :3

First of all, please try a clean reinstallation. This can resolve many common issues.

If you're still having trouble after a reinstall, please let me know the following details:
1. Exact Device • iPhone 6
2. Exact operating system
3. Spotify app version installed
4. What are you doing when the app skips/ stops/ crashes? • "While moving e.g. walking, running, or even moving phone."
5. About how many playlists do you have?

Hopefully we can figure out what's going on with that information. 🙂

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?

Hi Mapuya! Thanks for the response!

1. Exact Device • iPhone 6
2. Exact operating system - 9.3.1 (13E238)
3. Spotify app version installed - 5.2.0.1205
4. What are you doing when the app skips/ stops/ crashes? • "While moving e.g. walking, running, or even moving phone."
5. About how many playlists do you have? 13 playlists

Let me know if there’s anything else you need.

Thanks for the info!

It doesn't seem to be a compatibility issue, given the information.

Did you try reinstall of the app yet?

If that doesn't work, it could be another problem.

Good luck!

Hey, just chipping in here. @SpotG do you possibly have another device that you can test? This honestly sounds like it could be an issue with the device itself, as I honestly have no idea how moving around physically can cause an app to start having issues.

Moving parts inside the device on the other hand could potentially cause performance issues.

That's true, @Swanny. It might have to do with the gyroscope.

If that's the case, then all you can do is have the device fixed or use another device.

Hope this all works out, @SpotG.
