Spotify randomly stops music

Hi! So I just recently started having this problem. I use an iOS device with a free plan and I was listening to music when after a few songs, the music would stop and I would need to go back in to Spotify and restart my playlist. I tried deleting the app and redownloading it as well as restarting my phone and I still had the same issue. I logged out on all devices and logged back in on my phone and I was still experiencing the same problem. Does anyone know what to do to fix this? Your help is greatly appreciated!

This is so annoying, plays song like 5sec and stops everytime. Reinstalling helps nothing, I have done it already many times , phone and computer. It will always come back.

Hi to everyone who had the same problem as me where my music would stop playing after your song is done I figured out how to fix it just go through Google and put your info and then play song and there problem fixed

Hi shopify please fix this issue !!!!!! It was happening on my iphone 12 BUT I just changed my phone to iphone 16 pro and its still happening ??

So this is a slightly technical issue. I'm 99% positive this is the problem: When you're playing spotify on multiple devices, one of them is acting like the master. Say you jumped on your home computer and started spotify there... Then grabbed your cell and started playing it there.But your cell just stops playing after a few seconds. Click play and again it stops after a few seconds. 

The home computer is constantly trying to reclaim the spotify playing instance and so stops the music instead. To fix this you need to go back to your home computer and stop and close spotify.

I was able to sort of resolve this a couple times by also using my cell to start playing music back off my home computer, in essence giving it back it's playing power. Then pausing, then switching the playback to my cell, and finally my cell would always play back the music. 

Quickest thing though is just close Spotify on any other device and make sure your current device is the only one that is using it.
