Whats up with the new home screen being random playlist? Its really bad, can I change it back?

Please allow users to back out of this test! My iPhone and my wife's iPhone have different home screens - her's has the awful giant cards/buttons. Mine has the much more useful smaller buttons/cards. Same app version (8.8.12.472)
I also do not like this new doom scrolling style home page..
Please give me the option to revert back to original home page..
This is a terrible update! I'm curious if mimicking social media UI/UX is the best option to explore the extensive music library you boast about. You also have to remember that a mobile phone and its accompanying apps are meant to accommodate efficiency for the user. The album cover taking up 95% of screen real estate takes away value from a user since we can't explore. Also, what gives you the right to take away my choice to be part of a blind beta release - stop being Apple. I thought you were a leader in the market. This behavior is indicative of a "me too" approach.
This is absolute garbage. Who does Spotify UI/UX and how many times were they dropped on their head as a baby? Definitely canceling Family Premium if they don't ateast make it an opt out. Yikes.

Complained via Twitter support and they directed me here, so here I am. The new homepage UX is unusable. I'm on an iPhone SE and I can see one square, the scrolling has a delay on it... Bring back the old UX, I want to easily see more than one thing at a time. This UX is garbage. Seriously considering switching streaming services.
This is a TERRIBLE update. Extremely difficult to navigate and hard to find anything new now. These weird “playing buttons” are huge and the scroll stops on each one so there’s no continuous movement. I HAVE to look at things I could care less about. It makes me not want this music service anymore if there’s a chance it’ll be changed on me like this, particularly without me being able to opt out. Seriously rethinking my premium subscription.
Spotify, why are you forcing this completely useless interface to us, your paying customers without giving us any option to choose if we want to test it or not?
It is so useless to me (and apparently a lot other users to) that I uninstalled it from my iPhone.
iOS 16.3.1 and Spotify app version 8.8.14.xxx (latest version atm.)
Remove this unusable version and give us back the one that worked.
How do you think this would make it easier to browse on the home screen when one (1) playlist takes the whole screen?
This update gets me so incredibly angry I want to scream, if this doesn't get fixed I'll have to switch to a competitor.
The update just made the app tedious and useless, cant find something to listen to except from searching for things.
Bring back that old UI to me - otherwise I‘ll say good bye to Spotify ….there are many other streaming offers.
Well yesterday i was gonna checkout this weeks new releases as i always do on Fridays, this list always used to show up on the home screen, but not anymore, instead i got to see this **bleep**. Stop it Spotify.
Spotify user since 2011, just canceled Family Premium because iOS app is unusable hot garbage now. Nice work!
Speak with your wallet and cancel your subscription. The forum is just monitored by non-employee bootlickers so don't expect any feedback to actually get passed along. (If it was, the months of negative feedback would've made a difference.)
Spoke with them on a chat and they directed me here. I am cancelling my subscription after 10+ years, this update makes the app unusable.
This update is truly absurd. Absolutely unusable and I’ll be looking elsewhere if not reverted.
Unusable, only way to find music is typing in the search bar. Please revert to old ui.
I tried to give it a chance, but nope, can't use it. Switched to Apple Music and seeing how well it works out-of-the-box, I am unlikely to return and thus cancelled my Spotify Premium.
you can always switch to the computer version and have the old UI and not cancel you premium
I don’t want to be dramatic, but this update has me devastated. Spotify was my first and only music streaming service, and now, because of this unusable interface, I will have to change. My partner just made the switch to Apple Music and unfortunately I will be doing the same. Goodbye Spotify.
