My Question or Issue

Spotify Stations 2.0.38

I don't listen to Spotify much on my drive, just Stations, but I've never experienced this issue in Spotify, only Stations. I don't run a VPN, I have ATT service, I'm in a good coverage metro area.

Some days Stations will play fine for 20 minutes, occasionally it plays fine for my whole commute, some days it'll play two songs then have this issue. I'll be listening and songs will just go silent with no audio 10 seconds into the song. I can skip to the next song, but it'll happen again 10 seconds in. Different station usually has the same results, though occasionally it'll play through.

I've rebooted the phone many times, I've logged out and logged into Spotify many times. This I have to do daily anyways which is another giant annoyance. I've reinstalled Stations again just last week. No changes.

Silly that I have no issues with my free Pandora account, which I now end up listening to more than I do Stations that I pay for a Premium Family plan.

Hi there @lldemonll,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting.

To start, please reinstall your Stations app and test it again.

Also, you mentioned that you're using the app with mobile data, could you switch to a WIFI network and see if the issue persists?

Keep us posted.

Hi MafeG,

Thanks for the response, and thanks for reminding me of basic troubleshooting paths. I used the phone at home for hours a few different days and had no issues on cellular data. That made me think, "Hmm, maybe this has to do with CarPlay" since the only place I've had challenges with was in the car. When the issue happened this morning I unplugged my phone and skipped to the next track and it started playing again seamlessly, and continue playing when I plugged my phone back into the car.
My next plan is to update the firmware on the head unit and see if there's something causing this challenge due to that. So far I've not been able to re-create the challenge outside of being connected to CarPlay.

Hi @lldemonll,

Thank you for your swift reply.

Great troubleshooting so far, this helps us in narrowing down the issue.

Please let us know if you notice any change after updating the firmware of your car's audio interface.

If the issue persists, please let us know more about your setup. If you're connecting via Connect, Bluetooth, aux cable, etc.

Keep us posted.
