iPod nano 7 G doesn't appear in Spotify for Windows

Hallo,

I have an iPod nano 7G (newest firmware) and a Windows PC (Windows 8.1, newest Spotify version, permium) and the iPod doesn't appear in Spotify. Why? An interesting fact is that the iPhone 6 also doesn't appear in Spotify. I know that there is an iOS app but I have used the iPhone for trouble shooting.

I want to sync local files from Spotify to my iPod

I have a lot of thread about this topic but there were not final answer.

Thanks and best regards

Flo

According to the help guide for iPods:

https://support.spotify.com/us/learn-more/faq/#!/article/iPod-faq

"We don't support iPod Mini, Shuffle, Classic, or Nano."

It is likely that Spotify has discontinued support going forward.

For the iPhone 6 which IS supported:

The devices section will be coming back in a future update.

In the meantime:
You won't be able to see an indication in the desktop client that the device is paired with the desktop client. But as long as they both are on the same WiFi network you should be able to trigger the local files sync by toggling the offline toggle on the playlist on your device.

I have read that older iPod generarions (with the 30 pin connector) are supported. So the answer is satisfying.
