My Question or Issue

I recently updated my spotify profile and had no issues, however any time I close out spotify from my phone, or laptop, the photo appears blurry. I have tried uploading the photo in JPEG and PNG forms, both 2000 x 4000 px. In order to not have a blurry photo, I have been reuploading the same picture every time I log in which of course gets old. No clue if this is an image problem, or a spotify issue. would appreciate any insight. Thanks!!

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community. Can you let me know if searching your profile from another Spotify account shows a blurry picture as well? I also recommend you try logging out and back in to renew the connection. You can find more info on changing your profile picture here.

Thank you I will try logging out and logging back in. I have looked on a different account, and yes the picture is blurry there also.

Thanks for your reply. You mentioned the image resolution is 2000 x 4000 px. Can you try uploading a square picture to see if that doesn't show blurry? Try one above 750 x 750 px. Also, can you let me know which device you're trying to upload an image from? Just to see if it works, can you try to change your picture using another device?

Can you let me know the resolution of the image you're trying to upload? Ideally it should be above 750x750.

Thanks for coming to the Community. Can you check the resolution of the image you're uploading? Ideally it should be above 750x750 px. You should be able to see this info in file properties/details.

I’m having troubles with profile picture too, I’m on iOS and every time I change my profile picture it’s always blurry. I even made another account to see if it was just my account that was buggy but I’m having the same issues on the other account.

Thank you for your messages.

Jumping in here just to ask you some details so we can investigate this further. Include in your next response the following info:

• Make, model and OS version of the affected device
• The Spotify version you're currently running
• A screenshot of the original image vs how you see it on your profile

Lastly, it would be great if you could try with different images from different sizes to see if it makes any difference.

It won’t let me add an image to this thread.

The image looks clear when I look at it on web through my iPad, iPhone and MacBook browser but looks blurry on the Spotify app on my iPad and iPhone.

I'm also having this issue now, I have updated my spotify, reinstalled it, and log in and out. and I'm still having a blurry profile picture on my phone, on my laptop its not blurry & already tried a different photo and still the same thing and i upload the photo via my laptop and its still blurry on my phone.

There might be an occasional caching issue present on some devices that seems to affect how your profile picture looks on your end only (other users' profiles appear to be unaffected). Rest assured it looks just fine when other people view your profile.

As we strive to provide the best user experience possible, your feedback on this is welcome and greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I'd recommend making sure you're always running the latest version of the app so you don't miss out on any updates.

Ive tried to do what yall said, i still get the blurry image, just on my phone tho. 
I tried reset my caching area etc, tried to delete then reinstall the app, and nothing....

My profile picture is displayed blurred in the Android app version of Spotify. Re-uploading the image fixes that for a short amount of time but it will be blurred again after a little while. This issue doesn't transfer to the desktop app.

In Spotify version 9.0.88.1405, the profile picture quality is terrible — it’s blurry. When you change it, it looks normal for about 10 seconds, and then it becomes blurry again. Please fix this.
