Can't Log in on new phone, playlist missing

Can't Log in on new phone, playlist missing

I replaced my phone and now I can't log in to Spotify. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing the cache, resetting the password etc. and although it pulls up my account info and cc # for my account, and tells me when my subscription expiires,  I can't log in, get to music or access my playlists. It says username or password incorrect, and I've reset and retried several times. Can log in on my computer. The Verizon store tried to help, reinstalling, etc. as I mentioned and they are as dumbfounded as I am.

I had a similar issue once.  I solved it an interesting way by going to www.spotify.com and syncing my account with Facebook, and then on the phone I logged in with Facebook.  Give that a shot if you have a Facebook account and are willing to sync.

DId you ever discover a solution? I am having the same issue and don't want to connect my account to Facebook. Is there any other way?

Just remembered how I did it. I think I kept trying to use my email address
and it wanted my username. Or maybe it was the other way around. It was
counter intuitive whatever it was....
