Hi all,
I attempted to sign up for a Spotify Student discount, but clicking the "Get Premium" link on the Student Discount page only took me to my account page. I managed to verify my university by clicking on a link to the verification directly from a Google search, but when I followed the rest of the instructions and signed up for Premium, I got charged $9.99 instead of $4.99. I've noticed that many people are having this problem. I sent in a ticket through the contact page but for some reason I'm not very hopeful that anyone will be able to help me...
Has anyone been successful getting this resolved? Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks.
Hello and welcome to the Spotify Community!
I escalated your case to support, you'll hear from them soon.
Having the same exact problem! Spotify is showing poor customer service and has been for months. By not providing customer service/contact information, these issues have been avoided. It is absolute bull**bleep**! This is a huge problem and needs to be addressed. Completely frustrating.
AH I am having the same issue! How can I get in touch with support? Thanks so much!!
Hey guys!
Read this, you will need to contact support:
Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
If you still have not gotten a reply after that amount of time:
Did you get a confirmation email from the contact form? It should be similar to "Spotify Support Case #XXXXXXX". If so, reply back to that email and tell them you still need help.
If you got an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it saying you still need help, even if it's from a no-reply address.
If you never got an email, look in your spam folder to see if there is an email in there. Make sure you are checking the email account you used to sign up to Spotify. You can check the email on your account here.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
