Can't create account or do password reset

Hello! 

I am trying to set up an account with an email address that previously had an account, but it was deleted. When I try to sign up, Spotify says there is already an account liked to the email address.  However, when I try to do a password reset, Spotify says there is NOT an account linked to the email address. I am stuck in limbo.... Lol.   Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks for coming to the Community.

After closing the account, it will take 14-30 days for the email address to become available for sign-up again.

Hi Maxim! 

The account was deleted much longer ago than that, but we found the issue. The account was hacked and Spotify disabled it for safety. If anyone else sees this behavior, contact spotify support through the anonymous chat option. They will get it working.
