I'm trying to log in to an account for my daughter who was previously signed on via the family plan. Her iPhone was restored and therefore needs to start from scratch. I have tried to log in using her email but it says that email is not linked to an account and when I try to set up an account using her email but it says that the email is already in use to sign in. so I'm just going round in circles here, HELP!!!!

Hello Spotify Support,
I believe my account may have been compromised. I’ve been a long-time user of Spotify—using this account for years—and I’ve never experienced an issue like this until today.
A few hours ago, I updated the Spotify app on my device. Upon opening it, I noticed I had been signed out. Assuming it was a routine issue, I tried signing back in—but was met with an error saying:
"Email or username isn’t linked to a Spotify account."
This is extremely concerning because I have years of music, countless playlists, and listening history stored on this account. I haven’t changed any credentials or settings, and I haven’t logged in for about a week before this issue occurred.

My Question or Issue
This account is a temporary account created to resolve issues with my main account.
I’m in a paradoxical state: when I try to log in using my email, the message says “Email or username isn’t linked to a Spotify account.” However, when I try to sign up using the exact same email, I’m told “This address is already linked to an existing account. To continue, log in.”
I’ve already verified that:
– There is no typo in the email (I copy-pasted it).
– The email address has been verified.
– “Forgot password” indicates the email is not linked to any account.
– I’ve even tried the username-based login—the same result: not linked.
– Logging in with Google also fails with “You do not have a Spotify account connected to your Google Account.”
So I’m stuck in a loop: can’t log in, can’t sign up.
Could you please help me reconcile this? It seems like either:
– My email is associated with an account that’s somehow malformed or disabled, or
– There’s a technical glitch preventing recognition of the account.

Hi, im not sure if I’m doing this in the right place but can’t find out how else to do it.
my Spotify account has disappeared, it says the there is no account linked to my email address. It’s just completely vanished and there are loads of playlists lost that I’ve been working on for years.
Is there anything I can do?
