Can't login on app

So I ended my old premium subscription because I no longer wanted to be teathered to facebook. Then, I created a new premium account under a different email. I am able to log into the spotify app on my iphone but everytime i try to log into the app on my mac it says i am using the wrong password. I've removed every trace of the old spotify account that i can think of from installers to passwords that were saved by chrome and/or safari. Im at a loss here.....

Can you just confirm that you are now logging in with a spotify username on all your devices and not an email address?

everywhere - every time .... The only thing I can think of is that the old account will officialy be gone on 5/8 - just running out what I've already payed for I guess. However, I've dumped FB and I am not logged into my old spotify account....

Can you log in on the web player?

If you can, it might be worth reinstalling the desktop client:
