Cannot change country to UK to claim Unidays Spotify Premium discount

Hi,

 

I'm from Sweden but I'm studying in the UK. I have a Premium subscription and I'm using my Swedish card so currently my country on my account is Sweden. I found out that students can get a 50% discount on Premium with Unidays, and I've tried claiming this several times by changing my payment method and country to the UK and my British bank account. Somehow it's not working to change this. I've tried cancelling my subscription and subscribing again but it didn't work. Help please?

If you indeed have an British back account and IP it should work. 

 

Could you please go to this link and check which country it says? Does it show the country you're currently living in, or something else?
If you see your current country, I would suggest you to get in touch with Spotify so they can manually adjust it.

 

You may get in touch with Spotify via their Twitter page (@SpotifyCares), or by following this link to send an e-mail.
If you send an e-mail, please check your inbox (and spam box) to check for their automatic reply. Once you get it, please reply to it immediatly (even if it's from an no-reply e-mail addres) to make sure an Spotify employee will get back to you as soon as possible.

Changing your location requires both a valid IP and valid payment details of the country you are currently in.

Thanks for your reply! Yes I have a valid bank card which I put in and I am currently in the UK so my IP address should be British... Somehow it still doesn't work?

You need to pay for your Premium using a credit/debit card registered in the UK to be eligible for the discount so unfortunately you won't be able to pay using your Swedish card.
