Cannot join family subscription because of false country

Cannot join family subscription because of false country

Hey there!

 

My mother wants to give me and my brother as a gift spotify premium(family) for eastern.

 

We wanted to already use in our holidays in Spain so my mother created her account in the hotel a few days ago. Unfortunately the country was automatically changed to Spain and can't be changed in settings(only Spain is available to check).

 

My brother and I already created our accounts some time ago and the payment is running on my account('byfailex'). I'm writing this from my mother's account hoping to get help as soon as possible.

 

I also wonder why there is no phone support because this would be much easier.

Hey @Elisabeth5,

 

Unfortunately, Spotify currently doesn't offer customer support over the phone.

 

Your mother will be able to update her account's country setting when she's back in your home country. It's not possible to do it while you're still in Spain.

Unfortunately she wants already to make some playlists in the holidays, when she has enough time.

 

I don't know why Spotify is handling this so bad, really bad user expirience.

 

Perhaps we're better handled at Apple Music, they have a phone support too...😒

Additionally Spotify isn't even offering any type of customer support excepting the predefined FAQ Questions and the Community(it's not a real support, one customer has to help another)...
