Cannot uncheck "Disable all email notifications"

SInce my account went from premium to free (because of the latest desktop app update) I stopped seeing any notifications for new release, playlists updates etc. I went to my account https://www.spotify.com/bg/account/notifications/ and noticed that the it has a different look that 1 month ago and also noticed that all check boxes are check, including the "Disable all email notifications". I tried to uncheck that box and click the "Save" button after which the "Notifications saved" banner was displayed. Unfortunately the "Disable all email notifications" is still check and I cannot uncheck it.

 

Is there a know issue about this, are free users not able to get notifications? Attached a screenshot of the issue.

If you like using the "Your Music" feature have in mind that you are LIMITED to 10 000 tracks. If you want this to be fixed vote for this post

Free users are able to get notifications.

 

I can reproduce this problem on my end as well. This has already been reported, but I will forward this thread on so it will help in the investigation.

Free users are able to get notifications.

 

I can reproduce this problem on my end as well. This has already been reported, but I will forward this thread on so it will help in the investigation.

I have made a quick tweak to your account. Can you let me know how you get on? I'd also suggest logging out/back in again on your devices just in case.

I've logged out, and then in.

I'm on https://www.spotify.com/ca-en/account/notifications/.

Unfortunately the "Disable all email notifications" is still checked and I cannot uncheck it.

If so, please confirm the following:

 
1. Your exact device.
2. The device's operating system.
3. The browser you're using.

I just logged into my account https://www.spotify.com/ca-en/account/notifications/ 

 

I'm able to select what I want via email and SMS but after I click save the box at the bottom that says 

 

Disable Notifications becomes checked, I don't know if this is right or wrong, but just reporting it.

 

Windows 7 64-bit PC

The only way I can get the "disable all notifications" to uncheck on my laptop is to check "disable all notifications" on my iphone or ipad. That seems like a bug across platforms. Not sure if the above will fix the problem of not getting notifications but it does allow you to uncheck and save that setting on PC.

yes, why? you can see that my settings are unavailable in Spotify iOS app, latest version.

I just sent a help inquiry using contact form and the idiot (Hulya) at the help desk didn't understand. Because they are not reading the messages. She thought I want to disable the notifications, what a... Anyways, how do I get to the appropriate person to solve this manually? Someone here said that he would direct it to the "team". I would like to have this issue solved ASAP. I don't have time wasting on it. How come Spotify still haven't solved such an easy issue, I don't understand.

i had that same problem with it saying "settings unavailable" on my iphone. delete the app, do a hard reboot of the iphone, connect to wifi and reinstall the app. if settings are available again let me know and i will try to help you with the rest.

 

 

did what you have told and settings are still unavailable. it ended up losing all my downloaded music 🙂 no luck.

if i don't get a solution, i guess i will call some executives to get this solved. all the support team is busy with everyday questions and they don't even recognize that this is a rare issue with some accounts.
