My Question or Issue

I need to upgrade my plan as I have just ended a relationship and we shared Premium Duo. But in wanting to do so I need to update my email on my account. BUT i had previously made a free account with the email I need to use. So, I just went and closed the account with the email I need to use, but I still cannot use that email address as an updated email address in my original account.... Does this make sense to anyone? 

My original account is an email address I don't have access to anymore as it was from over 20 yrs ago. I want to keep that account due to all the saved playlists and analytics. And I want to update the email address on that account ot my current personal email address, I just cant seem to get it figured out correctly.

Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to see these unfortunate circumstances.

 

When you close an account, the data does not get immediately erased. As stated in this support article: "You can use the same email address to create a new account after 14 days from the date of closing your account". With this in mind, in my opinion there is no need to worry about this, you just need to wait a few more days until your other email address is officially freed up from the second account.
