Finding other users

A few weeks ago I could not find one of my friends when I put their user name in the search bar.  One of the community members helped me by way of telling me to input spotify:user:username.  This worked and I was able to find my friend but now it has happened to another of my friends.

My first question is :- Is this a glitch with Spotify or could it be a problem with my computer.

My second question is:- Although it is not much of a problem entering the longer search method it can be frustrating when wanting to quickly change between users playlists. 

Can this be rectified but please understand that I am not very computer literate.

My OS is Windows 10 and I have a Spotify free account.  (I hope that I have put this request in the correct section)

Hi @SilverLad!

Thanks for bringing this up and welcome to the Community.

You shouldn't have to input: spotify:user:[username] every time you're looking for one of your friends.

Is your account linked to Facebook? If not, you could try linking it to your Spotify account to make it easier to share your music with friends and family.

Hi and sorry for the slow response.  I have been away on vacation and I am just catching up.  Unfortunately I do not have or want a facebook account due to personal reasons.  Surely there must be some other way to fix this.

It only happens with two users.  All other friends are ok.  Sorry I am not very computer literate.
