Following Bug

My Question or Issue

Whenever I follow someone their follower numbers and my following numbers go up and stuck like that even if I quit following them. It does fix itself whenever it feels like it. I've tried to clear storage and reinstall the desktop application. Yes it's a minor problem but to be honest I sometimes stalk someone's activity and the ghost follower bug makes it look sus. Did anyone else experience it.
