My Question or Issue
Ok so my account got hacked again, and they changed the email and password. People keep linking me to some spotify support ticket thing, but I've done it 4 times and I've yet to get any help. Please I really enjoyed my account, and I don't want to remake all my playlists. Can somone with spotify please just give me my account back.
Hi,
Very sorry to hear you having those issues.
I would:
1. Export the playlists using the desktop app
2. Close the account that gets hacked
3. Open a new account with a strong password!
4. Import the playlists there.
It's some work, but for sure less than having to deal with an account which IDs and, who knows what hooks, gets over and over abused.

Sorry to hear that someone's accessed your account. To make sure it's secure, the best thing to do is visit this support page.
If anything comes up, just let us know and we'll take a look.

Hi,
Spotify database has been hacked, they keep telling everywhere their database is safe... here is a link of 100 accounts with username and password.
My account was hacked last week, i've send severall emails to the website but no one is answering. Can you spotify workers stop saying nothing is wrong and actually do some work to secure your database.
Rgds,
Marc

Hello there,
Thanks for coming to the Community.
Rest assured that Spotify's platform and user records are totally secure. Account takeovers usually happen because of a breach on another service. If you use the same password for several services, they all have the potential to be compromised if one has a security breach.
If you think someone may have gained access to your account, I'd recommend checking out this Support article for the next steps to take. I'd also suggest reading this Support article on how to protect your account so this doesn't happen again.
I'll also pass on that link to the right teams so they can take a look. Thanks for your time and have a nice day 🙂
Hi Jose,
I'm very intersted on how you explain your theory ? How do they have username / password / subscription / date / country of spotify by hacking another service that has just my username and password. I've already allerted the French CNIL autority in order to investigate because this is not normal. Here is an exemple of the info they retrieved from your database :
Username: *snip*
Password: xxx
As Combo: *snip*:xxx
Subscription: Premium
Recurring date: 12/10/18
Status: Spotify Premium with Hulu
Country: USusername / password / country
I see you've changed the code i've provided above, just to be clear this is the original (i've never copied the text "Spotifiy Premium account with Hulu). I'm not even sure this is legal to rewrite a post. I'll keep a screenshot of this one 😉
