My Question or Issue

I WANT TO UPGRADE WHILE OVERSEAS IN BRAZIL.....MY IP IS BEING TRACED TO A BRAZIL LOCATION. I HAVE CHANGED THE WEBSITE TO REFLECT THE US AND MY BILLING INFO IS THE US AND SPOTIFY ISNT LETTING ME PROCESS MY PAYMENT INFORMATION SINCE IT SHOWS ME AS BEING IN BRAZIL.  I AM NOT COMING BACK FOR A FEW MONTHS AND I REALLY WANT TO UPGRADE AS APPLE MUSIC KINDA SUCKS...ANYWAY SPOTIFY CAN EXTEND A FREE TRIAL FOR 30 DAYS WITHOUT MY BILLING INFORMATION BEING PROCESSED AT THIS TIME...THIS JUST MAKES ZERO SENSE!!!!!!

I am so sorry for the inconvience your facing. If you haven’t, I would change the country in your account settings, so that Spotify knows what country you are listening to Spotify. You can learn more about this here

Of course, Spotify is available in many countries, you may want to check if Spotify supports your current country. You can check on this here

I hope this helps! Let us know any more questions and/or issues, we’ll be happy to help!

Of course I changed the country to my account settings to US.  My debit card is the US, but the problem is that I am in Brazil and the IP address is PINGING Brazil and so the software security that Spotify uses is not allowing for the processing of my payment thinking it may be fraudulent.  (Why would a US CARD be used inside Brazil)  So I can not upgrade my membership, which is really annoying!  Maybe I just use Apple iTunes instead because no one seems to have an answer to help remedy this situation.

Thanks for the reply.

Again, I am very sorry for this issue. I’ve done my best to help with troubleshooting. I would contact Spotify, since they can get a better insight into your account, and understand what the issue is. Chat is the best method, and you can easily fill out their contact form:

I would also recommend contacting your bank to see if there is a block on your card from making purchases. Hope this helps!
