How can I add a password for my account which was made with facebook, but now disconnected?

So a few years ago I made an account using my facebook account which has a different email that I have here.  Yesterday I managed to disconnect it in facebook by going into settings and removing Spotify from there.  I still have the account and still uses the email which had my facebook account and I can still use it,but now I can't log in with facebook anymore and I need a password for it. Is there a way to add a password to this account?

Hey @LeylaDawn18, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Create a Spotify password so you can log in with your email address instead.

1. In our password reset form, enter the email address on your Facebook.
2. Check your inbox for an email from us to reset your password.

This means you don’t need to use the Facebook button to log in. You can enter your Facebook email address and the new password instead.

Create a Spotify password

If this doesn’t work, get help here.

Thank you! It worked! But a quick question. If someone in my family were to make an new account, using my facebook, will it affect my spotify account?

Hey @LeylaDawn18,

We're happy to hear that you've managed to set a new password for the account!

If your Facebook account is not currently connected to your Spotify account, the activity on one of them shouldn't have any affect on the other. Your family member can set up their own Spotify account with it, however we wouldn't recommend this for security reasons.

Great, thank you! I doubt that they will make an account since they don't really listen to music.
