How to start Student Discount with my already premium account?

So Ive had spotify premium for over a year (paying $10/month) but I started college and would like to apply the the discount to my account. how do I do this?

I see two options, you could either wait a few days until you start and maybe the issue will be fixed, or you could contact Spotify support and maybe they can help you 🙂

If you receive a No-Reply email that says to check out the FAQ or Community just reply to that email and Spotify support will contact you 🙂

Support takes 24-48 hours to reply to you if they have not replied to you by tomorrow you can ask me here and i will escalate the issue for you 🙂

To sign up for the student discount, go here:
http://spotify.com/student

You may need to first cancel your current subscription before signing up for the student discount if you are getting an erorr message (I suggest cancelling your current premium first regardless of wether you get a error message or not :))

Are you in college already or have you been accepted and starting in the fall?

@jean3601 I am starting in a few days but have already been verified on sheerID for the student discount and Im still getting the error

I've had the Student Discount since exactly a year ago and today they charged me the regular price. I figured I needed to renew my discount, so i canceled the subscription and went to sign up again, but I got this same message about being uneligible. I sent a message to Support. Hope they get back to me soon.

Just a quick addition:

Be sure that you reply to the automated e-mail if you haven't already. Spotify usually responds within 24-48 hours.
