I didn't want a whole years subscription!

My names sophie, I've previously had Spotify premium on my iPad but cancelled last year as I was trying to save money. This year I'm in a better financial place and thought I'd start it up again. I opted to just subscribe again to monthly payments but when I checked my account I'd been charged £199 pounds! I don't understand this as it says it's for 12 months worth of subscription (which I didn't sign up for, I wanted monthly payments) and need to know if I can get a refund. I just want to pay monthly with an option of dropping the subscription again at any time in case I don't want it any more.
