I don't have Spotify but I'm still getting charged???

I had Spotify once upon a time, but I stopped using it ages ago when I couldn't afford to anymore.... I no longer have any idea what account is attached to my card. All the accounts that I have access to are Free Accounts.... so I don't understand why I have these Spotify charges.

You can find out which of your accounts is the Premium on by using this link:

 

http://www.spotify.com/account

 

You'll also see all the information about the account, like username, email and paying method. Then you can just cancel the Premium Plan on the same page.

Hello,

 

I have Spotify free account, but I have been charged $10.69 for the last two months (Nov and Dec). I verified the current account status in my Spotify, and it shows free account. I don't understand how my card was charged when I do not have a premium account. Kindly let me know how I can request the refund.

Please follow the steps bellow:

 

  • Check your subscription page. Your status should be Premium. 
  • If you're on Premium, try signing out and back into the app. 
  • If it says Free, check the receipt we send to your email inbox. Make sure you're signing in with the username on that receipt. If the username on your receipt is a 10 digit number, please sign in with your Facebook login details.

Thank you for the reply. I have only one account, and it shows 'free' under
status. And also I don't have Spotify receipts to my registered email. My
Spotify account is fee subscription, and somehow my account is charged for
last three months.

In this case, how can we help you if you don't have any receipts or anything? How should we start investigating the issue?

 

Maybe someone in your family or friends used your card to upgrade to Premium, is it possible?

I'm getting charged $11.99 per month and not getting the service. Under my account info and subscription it states 'free' but my credit card is being charged. Help

It looks like you have more than one Spotify accounts. 

 

  • Check your subscription page. Your status should be Premium. 
  • If you're on Premium, try signing out and back into the app.

I don't have a Spotify account but I card is getting charged.. It's really stupid that there is no way to contact Spotify without an account. You need some kind of customer service number to call. I don't even know how I will see if you answer this.

Anyone can get in contact with Spotify through various ways. 

 

One is via Twitter - just send them a Direct Message @SpotifyCares.

 

Another great way is to use the Facebook support. Shoot them a message here: Spotify Cares. They generally reply very quickly.

 

If you don't want to use the social media channels, you can fill out the online contact form. Make sure to reply to the automated email you'll receive directing you back to the help pages, even if it's from a no-reply. Support usually gets back within a day or two.
