Hello!

I attempted to sign in to spotify via my facebook, and it said "email already exists". So I went to the password reset and requested a reset, to which I received a response along the lines "This email is associated with a facebook account. Go to facebook to change your password." I am more than happy to add photos of any of the messages if requested. Moreover, once I de-linked my facebook account from my spotify (it did in fact log in to facebook, only to give me the email already exists message) and requested a password reset, all I saw was an error message, i.e., "try again later or contact support"

This was a consistent error on three different settings--Windows 7, my Android device, and running it inside the Windows emulator in my usual Linux machine. I literally made this account so that I could post this question, because I can't log in otherwise.

Is there anything I can do? Contact Spotify's support people? It's extremely frustrating.

Contact the accounts team through the anonymous online contact form and they will be able to get you back into your account. If you receive a no-reply e-mail directing you back to the community, just reply to it and you will be connected with a representative that can assist you.

Hey @jandrews-212 welcome to the Spotify Community. 

If you're getting the message "email already exists' it sounds like you're hitting the 'sign up for Spotify' button rather than the 'Log in to Spotify' button. 

What messages do you get when you sign in with your FB email and password using the Log in button?

I first try to login with facebook:

Finally, I do a password reset of my email address, and I get the following page:

If I try to login with my facebook email/password combination, I just get the error message, "wrong password / email combination." Moreover, searching my gmail inbox for a confirmation of signing up for Spotify, nothing turns up (which is especially strange considering that I never delete emails).

Finally, I tried deleting permission for the spotify app on my facebook, then signing in again. All I got was the first page! I subsequently sent in a help request to the support team, and am awaiting a response (as the above poster suggested).

I know this is an old post but my wife is having the exact problem.   Whats the fix here?
