problem viewing account in browser and logging in on mac application

I was trying to get to the account page in my browser, but whenever I click "account" in the drop down bar in the top right-hand corner, the page doesn't load and it says "too many redirects occured trying to open [link to account overview page]". Additionally, when I try to log in on the mac application, it begins to load and then stops and says my login credentials are incorrect (but when I put in actual incorrect ones, it doesn't even try to load). Is anyone else having this issue?
