My Account Got Hacked

My Account Got Hacked

Hi,
I have noticed that my Spotify app has been acting strange over the weekend, like showing songs that I have not listened to in the current playlist.

I checked my account on the website this morning a few things were not right:

  • my 2 Android offline devices were removed
  • an iPhone offline device was added (I have never owned an iPhone)
  • my subscription had been changed from premium to family premium
  • all may playlists were in the recover playlist section

Additionally, a playlist was added to my account, full of music I don't listen to.

So I changed my login details (via Facebook), removed the iPhone, clicked the log out everywhere button and restored my playlists.

About an hour later, I checked my account again, and noticed the iPhone was added again and all my playlists were removed and the same playlist was added again.

I have clicked the sign out everywhere button a number of times and I am hoping this is now fixed.

Is there any way to have this not happen?

I have never shared my login details or spotify account with anyone.

Hey @user-removed,

I'd recommend taking a look at this support article: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/privacy/someone-has-gained-access-to-my-account/.
