My Acount timer runs down to 0 mins eveno though i have 1 hour left

Hi there,

I log in to spotify and it states i have 1 hour playtime then after playing one song reduces to 0mins, then after reopening it says 32 minutes, the song was only on for a few seconds, whats going on ,

Cant you roll my account back to not having a timer on at all ? was such  better service when that was the case,

I have been using spotify since its release when the free music was truley free with no restrictions and told all my friends to use it but now im finding myself loking at other services.

Please help.

Spotify free accounts which have been registered for 6 months or more (outside the US) are subject to extra restrictions:
- Maximum streaming time of 10 hours per month (allocated as a maximum of 2.5 hours per week, meaning you never need to wait more than 7 days to listen again!).

You can read more about free account restrictions in your country here. You can see how much time you have remaining when you have less than 60 minutes of playtime left in the top right of the desktop client.
These restrictions only apply to free subscribers, so an upgrade to Spotify unlimited or premium will remove these.

If you aren't getting your time, its always worth trying a quick clean reinstallation of the application to see if that makes any difference!
