first of all, great job to spotify for sending you to user community for help instead of taking care of your problem themselves. this is the exact attitude that assures a customer after their purchase ๐Ÿ™‚

my problem though, is quite absurd in nature, probably nothing at all; so I purchased a spotify gift card,  redeemed the code. it shows up in my receipts, but my account is still in free mode, I go to get premium and I'm asked my credit card/paypal/safepay number, I would not buy a gift card if I wanted to give them my credit card number now, would I?

so thanks to spotify trying to save a buck or two on an active support team, I turn to you guys for help, what do I do peeps? where do I activate my account with the 60$ I've already payed, as opposed to giving a credit card number for further charges?

Hopefully we can help you get sorted today! If the gift voucher has been accepted and is in your receipts then I'd firstly suggest logging out of Spotify and back in. Failing that I would I'd recommend opening Spotify using a different web browser, an incognito window, and/or with deleted cache/cookies.
