Roadblocked from Premium

Roadblocked from Premium

This started last month in March. I had lost my debit card which was on file for my Premium account. I had it replaced the same day by the bank and updated my payment info in the mobile app. Everything seemed okay until I got an email from Spotify telling me there is an issue with my payment method and my subscription has been cancelled. I double checked, everything seemed okay. I only have one debit card with plenty of funds. I use it daily. At this point my account has been fully deactivated and I am now back to the free version. I try entering my payment info again, and then I get a reply "Oops it seems like your card or payment method is having a bad day, No money has been charged, please have a nice day.
I try again and again, double checking my account and the information entered. No luck. This goes on for weeks. Every morning I try to subscribe to premium and every morning the same error message. I sent out half a dozen emails to Spotify (cause you can't call for some ridiculous reason). I get given the run around, told to double check my info, try another browser, turn it off and on again. Stuff I tried a thousand times before I bother sending an email to support.

So I call my bank. They made sure that Spotify wasn't blocked from received any payment on their end, and then inform me that Spotify hasn't even attempted to take payment from me in over a month. I've tried different cards at this point too. They literally won't take my money. I'm trying everything to hand over my cash and it won't work.

At a loss I emailed support and said just cancel my account, delete everything, and make my email available again for setting up a fresh account. I verified my ID, past payment info, everything. Now it's been two days later and I STILL can't upgrade to premium, or delete my account. The support process for this company is getting on my nerves and I'm about to just leave. I've had better customer service at **bleep**'s Last Resort, and it's their job to be unhelpful. Unfortunately, the actual service is amazing and I love the app and can't bear to part with it. I'm stuck. I've tried everything I can think of to legitimately pay for service and I'm being roadblocked by the service itself. Anyone else have this experience? All I want is premium...it's not like I've been asking for hookup, I really want to pay for this.

Have you tried to pay via paypal? Also you can try to buy a gift card for yourself

Thank you. Yes I have thought about the gift card but I would like to just have it attached to my debit card so it's automatic and I don't have to think about it.

At this point it's the whole principle of why do I have to deal with this? Over a month of back and forth with support, and my last request was simple: delete my account.

Try to pay via paypal.
