Someone else is using my email?!

Hi!

I have been a subscriber to spotify premium for around 3 years now and never had any problems until now. My old email account was deleted and when I try to enter my new one it tells me is already linked to another account. I have received a few emails from spotify (on the new address), in which they refer to me as "Alexandra" and the emails are in German!?!

What can i do? Since my new email is an official Swedish government address is impossible for someone else to axcess it.

Do you have a Facebook account with it? It is possible that is why. If not, then you should contact the customer services team using the Support Form.

If you do have a Facebook account linked to FB with that email, then they will be able to delete the FB/Spotify account. If not, they will investigate.

I had a similar problem.  I set up Spotify to use an alternate email address.  I started getting Spotify email for someone else's account in my main email.  Since Spotify DOES NOT VERIFYemail addresses (Why???)  I had no way to notify them that this was not my account.

I wound up resetting this person's password, which I really didn't want to do but that was the only way I could access email settings.  Since this other person could no longer access their account, I canceled the account.  I assume this other person should simply create a new account using THEIR email address.  I have an old Gmail address, which is apperantly too short.  I have other people using my address a lot.
