My Question or Issue

Hi there, thank you for your help with this issue. I have a Spotify Premium plan connected to my Alexa Echo Dot. I have triple-checked that the Alexa settings have Spotify designated as the Alexa default for playing podcasts and music. Playing music works fine. When I ask Alexa to play a podcast ( I have tried this with 6 different podcasts , all with the same result), Alexa announces the title of the podcast episode correctly, but then it does not play the podcast - it either returns to the music that was playing before or, if no music is playing, just goes silent. Please advise how I can fix this bug. Thank you very much - Zhan

Thanks for searching for the answer you need here! 

We hope you don’t mind us replying now as we just stumbled upon this thread. If you're still experiencing this issue, we recommend that you try the following:

1. Unlink your Spotify account from the Alexa app.
2. Perform a clean reinstall of both the Spotify and Alexa apps. You can find instructions on how to do this for Spotify here. 
3. Link both accounts anew. This Support page can help.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but right now Amazon Alexa devices only support selecting Spotify as the default podcast service and playing podcasts in the United States right now.

After going here and checking this page:

It says "US users only"

Hopefully Alexa will support Spotify podcasts in more countries in the future.
