My Question or Issue

I made my current account through facebook years ago. I want to make a new account that isn't attached to my Facebook, but I don't want to lose any of the information like my specific playlists and history. Is it possible for me to make a new account, and request these pieces of data be migrated over? Basically, I want an account with no affiliation to my facebook login, but all the same for everything else.

Hey @Kaiylw0lf, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

You can create a new account and transfer your content over to the new account following these steps. Keep in mind that your history will start over and you will have a clean slate.

However, if you just wanted to log in without having to go through Facebook, you can do so by following these steps.

Go to the password reset form > Enter the email address that is tied to your Facebook account > Create a separate password > You can use the email address and the separate password that you used on the password reset form. That way, you can log in to Spotify without having to click "Continue with Facebook".

I hope that you find this useful. Let me know if you need anything else!

Hey @Kaiylw0lf,

Thanks for posting here.

If you want to disconnect your Facebook from your Spotify account, you can try these steps.

Currently there is no option to transfer the history of an account. If you want to enjoy your favorite jams on the new account, you can give these steps a go.

Alternatively you can reach out to our support team here. They will be happy to help with the transfer.

Keep in mind that playlists such as Discover Weekly or Release Radar will be able to reflect your music taste after playing music for a while.

Hope this sheds some light on the matter. If you need anything else, the Community is here for you.
