Spotify Gift Cards from DE to AT

Can you do the following? I want to buy a gift card from DE and want to give the gift card to AT as special gift...how does this work?

Unfortunately Spotify gift and eCards can only be redeemed in the country in which they where purchased (to prevent people buying cheaper cards abroad).
