Spotify Premium Plan Not Activating

Spotify Premium Plan Not Activating

Plan: Premium
Country: The Netherlands
Device: Windows 10 pc + Iphone 6 Ios 12.4.4

My Question or Issue

I purchased the 3 month premium for  free, it cost me like 0,01 euro.
I got the payment receipt in my mail
Under my spotify invoices I see that I purchased it today

But my account information says that I have free and I can download music or anything on my pc or phone.

I logged in to my spotify account on my phone after I purchased it and on my pc I was logged in before I purchased so relogging isnt the solution I think?

Anyone got a fix or help for me?

Hi there @PRMees,

thanks for reaching out !

There's a common mistake among users to create more than one account and logged into the wrong one which contains the right plan.

Visit your account overview page at Spotify.com and click "Sign out everywhere".

Then, use this help page to locate all accounts listed with your details (just to make sure you do not have more than one active account) and log in using the correct credentials.

Hope this will solve the issue.

Waiting on your update 🙂

Hello @OneByBoo
Thank you for your response but I dont think u understand my problem
I made the purchase on my account, I can see it in the history, but I still do not have premium!
I added 2 pictures of the invoice I got in my email, and my account information!
So u can see the same username so it cannot be the wrong account.

Hey there @PRMees,

Thanks for keeping in touch and providing the screenshot. Let's get to the bottom of this!

If you've tried subscribing to a Free trial but didn't get your Premium, the case could be you're not eligible for that offer. This can happen if you've paid for Premium on another account with the same payment method before, or if your account was already on Premium as member of a Family plan, it will not be possible to activate any trial offer, since they're intended for users who've never tested Premium in the past. For full information on this, you can take a look at the Terms and Conditions

It'll also be useful to check if the payment went through successfully - that can be seen on your bank statement. Use this article for more insights and instructions on that.

The small amount you've been charged with is just to confirm the payment works (an ‘authorization’ charge). This will shortly expire, and the funds should be returned to you soon. You can reed more about authorization charges in this support article.

Hope you'll find this info useful. Give us a shout in case you've still got any questions 🙂
