I was previously signed up for the spotify premium discount for students but my payment card expired before I remembered to update the card information so I had to put my card information in again and sign up for premium again. However, spotify isnt allowing me to sign up with the spotify student discount no matter how many times I try.
I go to the page where you start the process to sign up for the student discount and when I click the "get premium" button I get taken to my account screen with a message in a red box that says "Oops! Something went wrong, please try again."
I've tried over 10 times to get this to work in addition to trying on multiple different browsers and after logging out of all devices and logging in again. I've also looked at the other posts on the forums and I've seen several instances of other people encountering the same problem however there is no fix being offered and barely any assistance. I know this problem has existed for quite awhile so it isn't like this is a new problem that spotify hasn't gotten around to fixing yet. Nothing I have tried has solved this problem and there is no listed method to explicitly contact spotify to get this corrected which is rather upsetting. My old premium membership has sinced expired and to renew I had to pay the full $10 price. I probably wont use spotify anymore if this doesn't get fixed within the month since it seems pointless to me to pay more than I'm supposed to for a service that doesn't even work properly.
I can't get to the student page from all the links that spotify has on their website for student discount. It just leads me to my overview page... I signed up for it last time before I got charged $10, but I guess it didn't work? Last time I remember I was also having a really hard time finding the student discount page.

You can contact support, they are able to apply the discount from there and you'll start receiving it as soon as your next renewal date. There appears to be a problem with the links, but I've already notified the staff about it.
If you receive an automated email directing you to the community and/or help boards, make sure you reply directly to that email (even if it says it is no-reply) and an agent will get back to you as soon as possible.

Everytime I go into to update my current Spotify Premium account it never offers me the chance to enter my student email or school or anything. I have not recieved a code or anything of that nature. It would be extremely helpful if I could get this discount. Can someone help please? I am not a tech idiot I have read all the FAQ's and possible way to fix it, my screen never pops up with the ability to enter information. Thanks ahead of time.
You are supposed to be able to go to https://www.spotify.com/us/student/ and go through the process there, even if you already have a premium account. However, this hasn't been working for some people, myself included.
Hi all
I've tried the last two days now to figure out why I am unable to apply a student discount to my already premium account. I try to follow the directions on the FAQ page. However, after logging into my facebook account I just go to a screen greeting me about managing my account. I have yet to get a screen (that the FAQ section says I should get) in which I enter in my school information. I emailed support last night, and was told to use a different browser or an incognito window, and I still got nowhere.
I think two things could be inhibiting my ability to get my discount (somehow):
1) My spotify is linked through Facebook, which uses my regular gmail and not my school's email. However, it gives you the option to log in with facebook so I'm not entirely sure this is the issue.
2) I signed up for regular premium instead of the student discounted premium in November. After I realized my mistake I canceled my credit card, thus giving me a month free.
Do either of these situations matter at all? I just really want to figure this out because I've still got 2 years undergrad, and $10/month starts to add up!

Try to cancel your current subscription before you sign up for the student discount subscription.

I had the student discount of $5 a month for a while and decided i didnt need it at the moment so i cancelled my subscription. Then when i tried to get premium with the discount again i was charged $10 instead so i cancelled my subscription again to make sure i dont get charged again at that rate. Now i keep trying to get the student discount and it wont work for me. I have a .edu email and am a college student.

I've tried to pay for spotify with multiple different cards and I'm continuing to get an error message. I'm eligible for the student discount, so I go in and fill everything out. Once I hit submit, it says processing and then on the next page it says "oops!" and that there's been an error and there isn't a reason why. Very annoying, can someone help?
