I am lucky enough to have a very simple one common first name email address, which I don't have linked to my Spotify account. Unfortunately, this means any old muppet who thinks it's a great idea to just put their name@*****.com instead of their own actual email address, seems to be able to create a Spotify account.
Surely, each email adress used when signing up for Spotify MUST be verified? I've just had to "sign in" to an account made using my email address, using the 'reset password' option, and change their email address myself to stop receiving every update email they get from Spotify. I could access their subscription and increase it if i felt mean enough to, but they should never had been able to get this far in the first place.
I took a screenshot of my own account - which also hadn't been verified, but I have a premium account subscription, so not sure what that warning is about.
