Spotify is not acknowledging my account online but I can still sign in through the program-help!

My account recently needed a payment update so I tried to update it. But when I try to even login it says the password is incorrect. IT IS NOT because I can sign in through the program with the password.  It's not a mistake or me mistyping my password. When I try to reset my password it says my account  is connected to facebook and to go through facebook. Once again, IT IS NOT connected to facebook at all. How can I get into my account settings to update my payment for premium?? It's treating my existing account as if it isn't there.  I have had spotify for four years and this is the biggest pain in the ass I have experienced with any app.

That sounds not good.

Try to use your username instead of your email adress in the login process.
