Support did not read my email and responded with a stock message

Support did not read my email and responded with a stock message

I sent a message to the support email as follows:

I am having trouble changing my premium subscription to the student discount. I have tried to follow the FAQ steps under "Can I  get the US student discount if I have Premium?", however when I go through the link given in step 1 and log in it just takes me to my normal account settings page and I do not see the screenshot in between steps 5 & 6 that says "We'll confirm you're eligible             for the student discount, then it's on to the music!" I cancelled my subscription after it would not work, but the same thing happened before and after I cancelled (and tried again). Also, in the same support page it says,"If you still think you qualify, click the word here and follow the steps for manual verification." The bolded word "here" is not actually a link and there is no way to  get to the steps for manual verification.

However the reply I got just gave an obvious stock message with the the same link as step 1 in the FAQ that I explicitely described not working! Although the email did not addres the broken link in the FAQ that I pointed out, they did include the URL  https://spotify.sheerid.com/ to do it manually. Using this link entered my student information, and got the message "Congradulations! We have successfully confirmed your status!), There was then a link to "be directed back to Spotify to access your offer", which I clicked and once again brought me to my account page where I cannot access the offer.

I have sent another email but am now doubtful that Spotify's customer service cares enough to do anything. It kind of angers me that they won't even put in half the effort I have at solving this problem when it should not be so hard for me to simply pay for a service.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

If you still have not gotten a reply:

Did you get a confirmation email from the contact form? It should be similar to "Spotify Support Case #XXXXXXX". If so, reply back to that email and tell them you still need help.

If you got an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it saying you still need help, even if it's from a no-reply address.

If you never got an email, look in your spam folder to see if there is an email in there. Make sure you are checking the email account you used to sign up to Spotify. You can check the email on your account here.
