Support won't answer my requests

During the course of a year now I have tried to contact Spotify support by mail 3 times with my account issue. If they responded at all (only the first two times) I got a default answer that didn't solve my question.

Now by making my question public I hope it can finally be resolved.

 

I have been a paying customer for years. I registered way back with my old hotmail account. Then Facebook integration came and I connected that.
After some time I started using gmail and connected facebook to my gmail account. But didn't update my Spotify settings. Eventually I disconnected Facebook from Spotify.

 

Now, I'm never using hotmail anymore and Spotify is the last remaining service that has a connection with it. However;

- I can't change my Spotify e-mail to gmail, because Spotify says it's in use

- When I press "Forgot password" and enter my gmail address, Spotify says the e-mail seems to be connected to a Facebook account

- When I'm logged into Facebook with the same browser and press the blue "Login with Facebook" button on Spotify, Spotify says "There's been a problem"
- Logging into Spotify with my Facebook credentials (obviously) doesn't work either

 

SUPPORT PLEASE HELP RESOLVE THIS

 

Steps to take: remove my gmail address from your database. Simple.

Could you try to contact support by messaging SpotifyCares on Facebook or Twitter? They usually respond within 48 hours.

 

If you don't receive a response, please let me know and I will try to help you further 🙂

Thanks Jacob. I have messaged SpotifyCares on facebook.
We'll see what happens. I'll reply to this post in any case.

Well, I suppose the "social pressure" was good for something..
Resolved within a day... So much for e-mail as a medium 🙂
