Unable to Login via iPhone 6

I was recently logged out of the Spotify app on my iPhone 6 and I'm unable to log back in.  When I enter my account name (email address) and password, the message I get is: "Login Failed -- You've already created an account with this email address."  Of course, that is true -- I'm trying to login to that account that I have already created.  I made sure that I am using the "Log In" option and not the "Sign Up" option in the app.  It is a Premium account and I am able to log in to the web player.  I tried to reinstall the app and restart my iPhone, but neither helped.

 

Thanks for any advice.
