Use credit card to change country?

Just registered to try out the premium service at 99 cents for 3 months... of course I did this while travelling in France for the holidays. And when I want to get the Premium service, I am offered the European offer, 9.99 EUR for 3 months...

How can I enter my US credit card to change my default country?

 In the Help section there is one article explaining that I need to enter a US payment method... but this article seems outdated as this possibility is no longer offered...

Fine but when I do this, Spotify forces me to pay 9.99 EUR instead of 99 US Cents, and I will be charged fees by my credit card company?

Or if I enter a US credit card will I be offered the US Offer?

Geez what a nightmare!
