Using iTunes store credit

I am unable to purchase Premuim using iTunes store credit. I cant seem to find the option in the iOS app. I know its cheaper to pay directly through spotify but I want to burn up some of my built up itunes credit.

Is there anyway to use iTunes store credit? I have already put the gift card toward my iTunes account balance and the card code is no longer working.

If you are being charged through your iTunes account then you will be able to use your iTunes account's balance to pay for the subscription, it should automatically do that.
