Hi,

So I downloaded the Spotify desktop App and have signed up to Spotify and am currently using the free 1 month trial, the issue I'm having is that I want to share my profile with a friend who convinced me to sign up but it's a mile long and way too hard to send to her or anyone else easily.

what is this? Spotify so far, from a (tech savy) newbie's point of view, is a nightmare. I'm hoping that it's got something to do with the free premium trial or something, otherwise I don't think I'll continue using it after the month is up.

Hey @user-removed,

Since you created your Spotify account with Facebook, the system gave you that username automatically.

You need to create a new account with a different email address from the one you use for Facebook. That will give you a Spotify username of your choice, so you won't have to rely on Facebook anymore. Once you have this new account, fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you migrate your Premium privileges (even if it's just the trial), library, playlists, friends, etc. to this new account.

If you like you can link this new account to your Facebook again, but now you won't have to rely in the Facebook login process, since you'll have your very own Spotify username.
