signed up for free trial, got charged

i was trying to sign up for the free 30 day trial and eventually using spotify student discount. i entered my info and got verified as a student, but when i pressed "get premium" my email recipet said i had been billed the $5 for my first month, although i had signed up for the free trial

Hey @vkp, welcome to the Community!

When subscribing directly through our student discount, free trials are not activated as these are issued with our standard Premium subscriptions.
