spotify randomly play music from the same chinese artist the same time everyday

hi, my account start playing songs from one chinese artist at the same time (3:54pm UTC+7) everyday for the past 4 days in a row now, and I'm not sure why.

Yes, I already change password.
Yes, I've checked nobody has controlled over what music I've played.

What more do I needed to check?

Edit: This has yet not been resolved ,seems like spotify accounts got breach to stream this chinese artist and the problem still occuring. For me I got it resolved by logging out of all devices but I don't know how others are doing.

If you got the same problem please take time to reply so the dev can see this more and eventually maybe help faster. ( but with this occurrence I'm just gonna move to apple music haha )

Hey folks,

Thanks for all your replies and reports.

Our tech folks continue looking into this. We recommend you log out everywhere and remove all the apps connected to your account. To do it, go to your account page and, under Security and privacy, locate Manage apps. If you notice anything suspicious there, make sure you remove it with the REMOVE ACCESS button. You can easily reconnect all the apps you do recognize later. 

Afterwards, check in the coming days to see if you notice any difference in this behavior.

In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.

SPOTIFY you need to resolve this! It happens to me every other day. I’ve changed my password, I’ve clicked ‘don’t play this artist’ and it’s still happening.

I’m having the same issue!! It’s creepy asf, changed my password and signed out of other devices. Hopefully that’s fixes it. Glad I’m not the only one. Why is this happening ???

We have the same problem.  It has been going on for over a month, and we had to turn off our speakers because the same Chinese song would play at 3 a,m. every night.  Now my Release Radar is also full of Chinese songs because the algorithm thinks that’s what I like!  None of the suggested fixes have worked, and Spotify has not done anything about it, so we are switching music providers,

Yes it's still happening, no Solution from Spotify 😠

I get the same Chinese song on Sony TV 9:15 pm. I we watch TV at the time it casts the song sound over the program. If the TV is switched off it will start playing from the TV speakers anyway.

Same thing happens to me and just happened again. Been randomly happening for almost a month now, not every day but pretty frequently. First started on my Alexa, then made its way onto my Macbook and now iPhone. Starting to get really irritated as ive used spotify for 6 years and loved it.

I have the sample problem. Even after resetting the password and deleting all connected apps.

The strage thing is, that the songs also are starting when spotify is not actively running. So suddenly my telephone starts playing chinese music ... This is spooky ...

I have this**bleep** happening. Randomly anytime even when the TV is going the spotify app will open with these weird Chinese songs playing. Scares the **bleep** out off my kids. I am lost on what to do. Removed and logged out off all other apps, changed passwords multiple times. If they know why can't they fix it? I am a premium member, wondering if it only happens to premium or non paying aswell 🤔

Same thing happens to me every day around 4:30 AM CST. Same song. I've removed access to all apps, logged out of all devices, and changed my password.

The same happens to me around 5:30 EST, which is entirely frustrating! 

Same artist, same song. I have my Alexa devices synced and this song plays on my speaker group every morning, like clockwork. At first I thought it was Amazon. It’s not! It’s Spotify. 

I removed all app access, signed out of all accounts, and changed my password. If this happens tomorrow, I will be canceling Spotify and going with Apple Music.

It's happening to me too, I'm in Ireland and it plays between 8-8:30 every day. I tried changing my password and checked for any suspicious apps. I blocked the artist and thought that might work but this morning it just started playing a different Chinese song and artist. What makes it more strange is that I am not the owner of the Spotify plan I'm on, my friend is but it's not happening to him.

Interesting point- I’m a premium member too.
I don’t think they know how to remove the virus or whatever it is. I think I saw same complaints about 2 years ago. So i think Spotify will always respond ‘we are working on it’’ and that’s where it ends.
I uninstalled Spotify from my TV and took a free trial with Apple Music. Let’s see..

I've been having the same exact issue. Same song, same artist, and then autoplaying hundreds of similar songs, skewing my listening history, recommendations, etc. Spotify customer service was no help. No answer as to how/why it happens, and no way to remove these songs from my listening history or recommendations. Their only suggestion as to how to fix how skewed the algorithm was from this was "Listen to more of the music you like." F*** them. Their only other suggestion was to delete my account. Shameful.

Can't spotify just remove the album if it is causing this problem for so many people?

i had a couple of days that the problem is finished.
I formated my imac and i did continue whit the same problem, but some days later i am watching the change.
I wish that this continue at the same mode...

I will watch the theme waiting that all solve this problem.
