switching student discount to new account

switching student discount to new account

I recently deactivated my Facebook, so I sent a request to spotify to delete my account because i created it using my Facebook. I recently made a new account and i am trying to use my student credentials to get the discount off of the premium feature, but it keeps saying that they are connected to another account, which I assume is the one connected to my deactivated Facebook. How long does it take for them to delete an account? I don't want to get charged for an account that I am not using.

I just called the customer service person and told them my situation and
they did it for me

to call I've looked but I can't find any numbers
